Ballast Kubota M7040 front weight bracket?

   / Kubota M7040 front weight bracket? #51
Hey guys,
I am looking for a factory Kubota or equivilent front weight bracket to hang some suit case weights on my M7040 so I can take my FEL off to do my bush hogging. I know my local dealer can get it but im over an hour away and its hard on the working man to get much shopping done. Any one that knows where I could find one I would greatly appreciate the help!

You know, coming around the the original post, with my 3240 I took the loader off one time when I was shredding 40 acres. I had to use my brakes to turn around about half the time. The front end would just kind of skip around. I only took the loader off because I had to trailer about 200 miles to get to the job. A confined working space wasn't the issue. I just couldn't see the sense in hauling the extra weight. I haven't tried it without the loader on the 5740 yet, don't know if I would have the same problem or not.
I would however, like to take the loader off and replace the weight of the loader when I plow. I need all the weight to put the power to the ground. I don't know what the loader weighs but I'm sure I would have a problem finding enough places to hang weight to replace it.

I'm not sure what your 5740 loader would weigh. The specs on my LA1353 say 1800lbs for loader and 250lbs for bucket. You are probably closer to 1400lbs and 175lbs.

Allen I think you need to talk to Lance Armstrong, he can tell you what you need to be feedin that 5740 to end up with the 9540....

Here now I call my tractor a "her".
A little "T" might mess her up. ;)

Hmm 1400+...
that sure would be quite a few suitcase weights.

I guess I should put a pic of my 5740 here.

I have found that with the loader off and doubling up from what is recommended for front weights has worked quite well for me. ;)

You can hang 4 weights on the grill guard. I think the LA854 is 1300ish plus quick attach (120lb ?) and the bucket is 320 I think.
