That is the vent for your rear differential, it should be open to relieve pressure. I agree with the prev post that it must be over full. Refer to your manual

As far as removing the wheel, I also agree with a prev post concerning instructions in the manual although I think it is a suggestion rather than a safety issue. It would make access much easier.

I have a quick question for you. Are you having any issues with Yamnar? Using the name i should say. Its to my understanding they want to stay clear of the models taken in from overseas due to the safety issues? I know your saying "us refurb" ,with yanmar coming into the tractor business i would think they wouldn't want the name used with the older yanmar tractor dealers.

we had about a 15 page thread discussing that very thing with this guy weighing in, said something about being a dealer now. I guess they still sell us refurb witnh safety stuff axdded aftermarket, I guess it was part of the deal??
