Best actor in westerns:

John Wayne vs. Robert Duvall vs. Clint Eastwood.

Who ya got?

I know this is heresy, but I'm leaning to Duvall based on Open Range and Broken Trail, both of which were fantastic performances. Bonus points for playing Gus in the Lonesome Dove series.

My stepdad was a monster... I've been trying to grow up to be John (Rio Bravo, Big Jake, the Quiet Man, Sands of Iwo Jima, Hellfighters, etc...) Wayne all my life...

Don't sully my role model there partner...
