Washing, polishing and waxing a L570 is a pain in the rear

I'm more about grease and oil, than washing. Dust I don't worry about. I think it protects the paint :D. I will always blast off caked mud especially if we're going to get cold weather. You don't wan't that stuff to freeze.

If it's a pain in the rear, just do the front...

Guess now I can admit I waxed my hood and fenders twice the other night. Wife was gone and called home to see what I was doing and asked if I was going to sleep in the garage. Hmmm..... Ha!

I wash my Kubota and clean it with a sponge and soapy water but the LS is lucky to get a hose off mostly due to the size. The top of the hood is way higher than my head and you need a ladder to get to it. Standing on a wet and slippery ladder is not my idea of safety.

I bought my Kubota used dirty and dented. I've never washed it and it spends a lot of time outside. Looking at prices the other day, it's worth about the same now as what I paid for it 10 years ago. Maybe if I washed and waxed it more often it would have went up in value.

I will admit ot a bit of insanity when I dropped down a fair penny on my then new L39, trying to keep it shiny and nice.

8 years & 1800 hours later, it works better than new, maybe a bit looser, but it is a tool to do work, and keeping it somewhat clean is only done to maintain the machine now, not make it preety.
This does not mean i love it less, I just have a different kind of respect for it now.

Completely understandable I too do not clean and wax as much as I used to in the last couple of years, times change different things become more important. Thats just the way it is.
Doing some work on the tractor right now but will clean it up soon and wax it, then bring it back out in the dirt and get it all messed up again. Till November then I will clean it up for the winter. Nothing looks better then Shiny Kubota orange out in the snow.

I just like to operate a machine the looks good. If it looks like crap it will get treated like crap.
