Buying Advice M5640SU

I have 19 :)

M-series business is regional. There are many dealers who sell very few M's, then there are others who do more M's than BX's. There is a huge variety of market needs out there.

I would sure hate to have to predict this. Our local dealer gas some of the M100 Series on his lot now and I have never seen one on there before. He also handle NH and with only so much lot space I am sure it is hard to keep just the right balance. Right now his lot is full without an empty space and he is building up the storage area in the back to hold more crated equipment.

Well after lots of time spent looking at tractors and my bank book I found what I think will do everything I need. As much as I think a 2wd would have worked, I did get a 4wd. Turns out that the JD dealer that was helping me, found a 5055E at another one of their stores with 30 hrs on it. It was a rental return, in almost new condition. Warranty, 0% financing, and delivery included. It's a little more tractor than I felt I needed, but the price was right.
So far so good. I should have it in a couple of weeks.
I was able to get some very good advice from member adirondackmtnman, who has a 5045, as well as the rest of you members, who were willing to share their experiences with similar size tractors.
I thank you all.

Best, Bill

I don't think you'll be disappointed with your decision to go with 4wd or the 5055

WELL! After 4 weeks to the day, it's here. I'm happy with the deal. They installed a SSQA and a Woods bucket. 30hrs on the clock, $25k.:proposetoast:
I guess I'm in the wrong (orange) area, but since my search started here I figured I'd post the end result here.

Well I only ran it about 15 min so far:eek:, (I bought it with 30hrs on it) but it feels like a good solid basic tractor. It's not as fancy as the L3240, but nice just the same. Lots more power and weight.
