You have to have the key on and then it takes a bit before the computer senses that the fuel level is increasing (vs sloshing around from use). It real nice at night when you can't see well. Just fill until the sound is constant.

I thought it was worthwhile. In cold weather I always try to keep my fuel tank close to full, so I won't get moisture in the tank. In a heated building it doesn't matter much, but the temp. in my barn swings all over the place.
Like I said it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, but If the tractor requires a computer to operate, you might as well have features like that.

I just like to fill it up as full as I can so I don't have to worry about it for as long as possible.
