Watcha eating?

Okra and tomatoes is always good. The acid from the tomatoes cuts the slime, so it is not a factor. I usually begin by cooking some diced onions in some bacon drippings. Then add the tomatoes, and once they are going good, add the okra last. Simmer 3-4 minutes, stirring once or twice, and serve over hot rice. Makes a meal all by itself!

All of this okra talk has me hungry for fresh okra!!!:licking:

I remove the okra from the grill, once it begins to yield to the tongs. Usually they are very lightly brown. It is still tasty, if left a little longer, but once tender, it is done and at its best!

Asparagus is very good grilled with olive oil and bit of salt and pepper as well. Squash eggplant pepper
Any veggie works.
If I ever see any fresh okra here in North East I will have to give it a try.

I frequently grill asparagus and love it, especially the young thin stalks. I recently had roasted asparagus at a friends home that was roasted long enough to really overcook by my grilling standards but it wasn't burnt, just dehydrated. Very intense flavor. Fantastic!
