M7040 "hissing" noise from under seat?

It is a 15 foot woods bush hog that I put a good thick coat of Kubota orange on.

Looks good but you know it goes against what most on here say your tractor can operate:D

Your exactly right! I will show them how it handles it when I'm mowing my hills with my duals on lol
I will post pics for the "safety patrol"

I wonder if the hugely oversized brush hog is why the hydraulics are screaming: HELP ME!

Yeah to bad my dealer said its common on the hydraulic shuttles to hear it, I don't know how you are getting that my bush hog is hugely over sized. I don't want to mow with a tiny 6ft mower, well maybe for my lawn lol

Maybe it's not oversized? What model # batwing are you pulling with your machine?

Thank you! And at 4.27feet per pro HP I wouldn't at all say that is "hugely oversized"

I think your math is incorrect. 4.27 X 65 =277.55. I think you meant 4.33 HP per foot of cut

That's right, I was figuring it at 64 pto HP instead of 65

So is all the math adding up to your tractor being properly sized to the needs of the Woods HD315? I'm just curious- I didn't realize your Kubota was as high HP as it is, looks smaller in your avatar. Obviously you can run what you want - I thought there might be a correlation to the size of the batwing and the noise issue of your K'bota.

Yeah the math is close enough to not matter, that's ok just a simple misunderstanding

The thing that would concern me if it was my tractor is my M7040 operators manual states "dual wheels aren't approved"

Not a problem at all, there are a lot smaller tractors with duals on, the manual also says to not use 2 hydraulic funtions at the same time, grease everything every ten hours...... I guess some people stop in the middle of a field to grease up instead of doing it before getting started

There are also3 other M7040's in my area that run duals with no problem at all

It's your tractor so you can run duals if you chose. Irregardless to what you think duals put more strain on the axles & brgs. It's your nickle so drive on. What page in operators manual does it state not to use 2 hyd functions at the same time??
