I don't mind changing it soon the first time, mainly for cleaning the screen and filter change just to make sure there isn't a boatload of filing in there indicating something wrong. I'd rather have it fixed under warranty than waiting till it's out to discover a factory defect.

That is a good reason . There was a post this winter where a guy's hyd. filter was plugged with sealant . Apparently someone got a little carried away on the assy. line .
