I will take a look at mine tomorrow. The cylinders you are referring to are the load sensing part of the draught control.

I just took a look at mine, the slotted studs you refer to look to be where the draft cylinders attach to the top link plate, it should be normal for those to free spin. There are backup nuts on each stud.

If the backup nuts are loose, the shaft of cylinder will turn, to tighten, need to hold screwdriver in slot and tighten backup nuts, at least thats what I'm seeing.

I was going to try that but the paint has the studs and the back up nuts bonded together. Had planned on doing it when I got time but wasn't really sure where to adjust them to even after I got them to unstick from each other.

If they are stuck together tightening them that way will return them to original position, it may be a blessing they are stuck together then.

They won't tighten. I can move them back and forth as they sit now. They aren't threading into anything.

Mine are working fine, I can put a wrench on backup nuts and turn easily, If you aren't having any issues with the draft control, I would venture to say you are golden.
