Can I do this?

Just got a top n tilt and got the wrong size hoses on the top n tilt cylinders. I got 1/4" and I think I need 3/8" for my L3200. Can I adapt the 1/4 hoses to 3/8 QD ends and be ok? this is a new machine so I really hate to half a%^ it.... I thought about sending the hoses back but by the time I do that I might as well just buy them again locally. Atleast then if they are wrong I can run to town and fix it. I appreciate the help-

also- I am not sure if my machine does have 3/8 hoses- I think it does.. I know nothing about sizing these hoses....

1/4" should be just fine, the 3/8" well only make the T n T work faster no more pressure.

I'll go as far as saying they may even help.

I don't see it as a mess up, this was planned, steam ahead.

Edit; oops, forgot the ?, yes, you can get reducers.

1/4" is what you want, Just make sure the adapters are for hydraulic service.

Around here NAPA has them.

Sized by inside diameter (ID). Smaller ID restricts, or slows the flow of oil, but the working pressure will be the same as a larger ID.

Where did you get your T-N-T?

Hoses are sized by the GPM flowing through them.

They sometimes use smaller hose to slow the flow of fluid to the cyl.

I got the tnt from fit rite hyd, great guy. I dont know if it was my fault or his; I am sure mine but he is going to get me squared away anyway. He knows his stuff and has a great product. Cant wait to get it going!
