Yeah, I changed the engine oil too, it was due for service anyway.

Had someone do that to my 04 duramax. Been about 4 years now. They ran it until it stopped. I drained the tank and filled it back with diesel. Ran it home and back to shop. 32 miles round trip. Changed oil and never looked back.

I was worried about the lubricity and the Injection pump. Never had a glitch. 40,000 miles

There is/was a salesman at the local Chevy dealer the mechanics all called Diesel. He had taken a customers BRAND NEW Duramax to the gas station to fill it up after they had signed the paper work. Yeah, you guessed it, he filled it up with gas! Never did hear how the story ended.

I wish everyone would put red/green sleeves on the pump handles. for gas and diesel

Oh don't worry, the pumps at the station I went to are very clearly marked, the diesel nozzles are very green. I was just distracted or something and grabbed the wrong one.

My brother loaned his MF 35 diesel tractor to his neighbor and they kindly filled the fuel tank with gas. My brother took off brush cutting with a rotary cutter till it quit. Afeter trouble shooting we determined it wasnt getting fuel and found the tank full of gas. It trashed the injector pump but didnt hurt the motor. He had it for another 10 years and it ran fine. May be different for a mechanical injection system though.

I second that..In today's world everyone looks for someone else to blame...I've done plenty of things like that and I just look in the mirror at the guilty party.
