my very first ever ..... john deere tractor..did i do good ?

hello fellow johndeere owners..

anyone have any opinions on a early 90s jd2755 ?

i bought this tractor from a local man.. it is in pretty nice shape.. comes with a model 245 loader.
self leveling.

cab is fairly new looking inside. not tore up.. everything seems to work.
actual hrs are 1900 ..

i grew up on farmalls... i don't know much about john deeres...
has a ...sixteen speed tranny.. with a knob that goes from fast to slow ?

kinda like my old IH706 .. T/A ... i thinks ?

anyhoo.. gave 21 for it .... hopes i did ok.

Don't know about price, but if it's in good shape it should be a good tractor. Does it have MFWD? IMO the 50/55 series were some of the best tractors Deere ever built. We have a 2550 that my father bought new and it has been an excellent tractor. As for the transmission, yours likely has the hi/lo power shift, which will function like the T/A on your 706.

no 4x4 its just a 4x2...

from reading tractor house and fastline.. i thinks I've done ok..
google brought up a lot of reviews.. mostly all good..
yes. im pretty sure I'll be happy with it.... looking forward to using it.

I've got neighbors with a JD like yours, and they give it rough service - but it performs beautifully. Since you haven't operated a tractor in a while, I suggest you give yourself time and some simple tasks to learn the feel of your new purchase. Take time to get to know it intimately, you'll be glad you did. And 1900 hours on a tractor of that size is pretty good. If you life around where I do, I think your price was pretty decent.
