Looks great Eddie! Wow, there's one more difference between Tx and NJ. We can't store much of anything in the house without the CO, let alone cars in the garage. :)

Nice garage! First thing a guy looks at

The rest of the house is great too.

Love that garage . Are you doing everything but shingles and drywall ? You should have built pclausen "s house . He had a nice build going until the last month . I think communication was an issue , sorry off topic .

Yep, a 3 car garage is really nice. It seems that most people around here use the garage for storage and park their vehicles outside. Since we have other storage, we do park ours in the garage. I noticed you used Liftmaster garage door openers. I'd never even heard of them until last November when I had one of their belt drive models installed in our garage. It's quiet and works well so far.

Stick with your old ones. A bunch of different looking windows on the outside ruins the character and style of a home.
Be a good chance to fix any broken weight ropes.:)
Aluminum windows in your climate would likely sweat down the frames and make a mess. My mother had aluminum windows in her house with marble sills because of the sweat problem but it still messed up the sides.
I have a newer house, with white aluminum clad outside, stained and lacquered wood inside, double hung windows with pane divider inserts. They look and work fine on this house but the white finish on the aluminum clad is affected by weather and when cleaning the outside glass the chalk gets all over the glass, taking forever and many rags to get them clean.
There's no perfect solution to anything, just new marketing to sell new products every few years and contractors that are not craftsmen anymore.
I think this only happens with the old ones, i think the new ones have internal insulation somehow, i cant imagine someone building a half million dollar house with these type windows amd having them sweat.

We are all really liking the three car garage. The original plan was for a double and a single, but changing it to three seems to be something like a lot better. They really want to be able to park inside. Mom says she wants to be able to carry groceries into the house without dealing with the heat, humidity or a storm. Dad doesn't seem to care either way, but if mom is parking indoors, he wants to as well.

The wood floors are tile. They look just like wood, feel like wood really make the room look nice. Of course, they are a royal pain to install, but I'm slowly getting it done. 9 inches wide and 35 inches long.

All the walls and ceilings are all painted a kind of cream color. It's from Lowes and it's called "Cream in my Coffee" I'm good friends with the lady who runs the paint department and she said it is their number one, best seller, color choice. We looked at quite a few different colors, but kept going back to that one.

I like the paint color. That color never goes out of style and provides lots of natural light. Do the floor tiles have grout? I can see a joint, but can't tell if the tiles are grouted. Is there any gap?

They are not supposed to touch, but you get them as close together as you can without them touching. 1/8 of an inch. I'm going to use sanded grout and mix it a little wet so I can get it in there. As for color, it's going to be very dark, but not black.
