Prove it.
Lots of guys got 3.42 trucks when they tried to order a 3.73 or 4.10 SRW truck. If you go to the build your own part on the Ram site it gives you the options for the other gears, but then tells you that you must also get DRW for those gears.

The fuel economy reading is off due to the speedometer being calibrated for a larger tire than OEM. From 245/75 to a taller 285/70 brought my speedometer to true accuracy according to my GPS, and the economy meter went way down closer to reality.

whos speedometer is off? the speedometer is calibrated for whatever gears and tires it leaves the factory with

Not always. How many tire options? You think they reprogram the PCM for each one?

I simply don't believe that with my own speedometer reading 4-5 mph fast at 60 with OEM donuts. I've witnessed it on others as well.
