Hmm, Keep the big rubber on it and then convince the little woman that your new tractor needs its own place to live, you know, like a new 40x60 "Inside" parking space. :) (climate controled of course)

Looks nice. Did swapping tires reduce the width? I don't know about the 3240 but my 4240 felt really tippy with the rear wheels set in the narrow position. You could add spacers if needed.

Yes I'm glad it did because I didn't want the 72 inch bucket, got the 66 inch quick.
Look at this picture I am used to the width of the B3030 size on the right. Look how much wider it is then I'm used too. I'm happy with the width.

I'm raising the door to 8.5 ft so big or small she'll stay warm, the tractor that is.

How did the garage door project turn out?
Waiting for the panel to come in. was told three weeks.
So tomorrow I'm going to let the air out a little to get her in. I only need an inch. It's posable with the backhoe on I'm already there.
It's going to rain here for a couple of days, Her days of sleeping outside are over.

:D
It comes home tomorrow. I wanted to upgrade my B3030 cab but didn't like the new B series cabs, I wanted a Grand L cab but they were always too large to fit in my garage. What I really wanted was a Grand L in a B3030 size. Can't be done? Can't? Maybe it can?

So at the dealer we swapped the tires with L 3800 tires. I wanted to get a BH 77 backhoe to go with it but right now they're backordered. The dealer offered me a very slightly used (hardly used) BH 92 backhoe with the hydraulic thumb installed for the same price. OK I'll do that.

So here it is - a Grand L 3240 with the smaller tires, a totally different size tractor. Even though it comes home tomorrow I still can exchange the tires with the larger ones if I want in the next month or so.

I'll see how I like it. I don't really want a large tractor; the tires really bring the look of this tractor down to more of what I was looking for. A Grand L cab with HST plus transmission, larger capacity loader dust free cab in a smaller size.

This dealer - Ahearn Equipment in Spencer, Mass. - really goes above and beyond what is expected. They took my B3030cab in trade and someone is going to end up with a very nice well taken care of B3030 cab with Woods 7ft backhoe with a few extra options you can't get elsewhere.

All the people at Ahearn Equipment are excellent, really a different experience for me. Business is good at Ahearn and now I understand why. Also some pictures of the tires to show the difference. I'll post some side by side pictures once it's home. Shown is side by side with the B2650 same size as my b3030. A good idea or a mistake time will tell.

What a pitb...:dance1:

Waxman;

Congrats on a beautiful new Kubota!

Only thing you may want to check is your departure angle with the smaller tires.

Really does seem like it will hang a lot; I guess it depends on your intended use.

Think about loading it on a trailer also; the smaller tires may make it almost impossible with the Bh on.

Looks good. I like it. The double weight is what you'll notice most if you ever had traction issues before. I went from a B7800 (31/32 HP) to the Grand L 3240HST (32HP) and at twice the weight, I think 1700 to 3700 lbs and liked the extra weight but the extra height off the ground on hillsides was a deal breaker for me and had one issue with RFM slowing the L3240 at the crest of the steepest hill due to same HP pulling more than double the weight. Will be no issue if you don't have the same usage as me. Again, I like it.

Definitely post pictures of the garage project when you get back to it.

It looks like the BH92 adds some additional height, so I assume you'll need to lower it before entering the garage? As for airing the tires down to gain that extra inch, I think you could easily get another inch or so if you do. I know when I was trying to get a measurement on the B2650 to check my opening, the guys at Ahearn were able to get another inch out the B2650 just from airing the tires down (and those are much smaller than the ones you have on your L3240.)

I'd like to second what Paul said, we definitely need to see some pictures of your mods once you get to it! :)
