Stopped at Barlows today to get some blades for my F3080 72" rear discharge deck and Barlows was having some kind of Super Dealer Sales Event that came with Chili dogs, drinks and chips. Ate and bought my blades and left a winning ticket to be drawn Friday. Will see what I won to see if I'll have to buy another Kubota to put it on.:D
Here's where my new blades are going. Also found a bad part when I changed the blades on my new F3080 that I bent a blade on so Barlows is getting me a new part under warranty. Like free parts. I have compressor, air gun but no 30MM socket but Jerry did so he figured he had to take my blades off for me. I also bought a socket at Barlows for $10 30MM that I'll have at home. 2 bottom plow is for sale or trade.

Hey John a quick trio of questions for you. When sharpening or replacing blades I assume you disconnect the pto shaft to tilt the deck, if so does the pto shaft have a quick coupler, how hard is it to tilt the deck? How are you liking this mower? Thanks!

You do NOT have to disconnect the drive shaft to raise the deck. I missed pulling the 2 spring loaded pins that attach at the rear levelers and couldn't get it to lift soooo I pulled the round collar off at the drive shaft connection at the machine end just like on the MMM decks on other Kubota models but it didn't help until I pulled the 2 spring loaded pins. I have 2 of these mowers and I just replaced the blades on my new one 2 days ago but forgot how I did it but knew I didn't release the drive shaft. This one in the picture is 4wd and I've had it for about 3 years and I bought another one 4 wd for home use this year and I sold or traded in the 2wd F2680 that I had been using for 4 years on the flat rental property. Guess you can see that I really like them to the tune of having bought 3 over the past 4 years and currently have 2 that I do all of my mowing with them. They aren't cheap but they are the finest mower made.
To raise deck there are 4 spring loaded pins to pull, one lever that is stored on the deck is inserted into a slot and pulled or pushed to release tension on a shock like on car trunk lids and one more spring loaded pin is released to fall into place when you lift the deck to keep it locked up. 5 spring loaded pins and a lever and lift.

Are you sure that Barlows wasn't just having their yearly "Lets get JT to buy a new tractor sale"? Did any other customers get a free chilly dog?

There were other people there and I only stopped to buy some blades for my mowing deck and discovered the "chili dog tent" outside and tables inside instead of RTVs. Supposed to be having barbecue today and not sure what tomorrow. I'll have to stop by tomorrow and see if my warranty part came in yet and see what's on the menu then.:dance1: Guess I'll win some maintenance supplies Friday at the drawing which won't fit any thing I own so I'll have to get whatever to fit the parts.
