Kawasaki Mule 4010

4010 is a fuel injected unit so no issues with the choke. If the 3010 needs the choke half out I would be looking at cleaning the carb. If the fuel bowl gums up or the high speed jet gets obstructed they will run lean. Fuel is crap, I don't care what brand you use. If you don't use your unit regularly use a stabilizer (Stabil, Seafoam, Startron or any reputable brand) and you will have less problems. Also some years of 3010's had a coolant operated carb heater with a filter. If the filter has not been serviced the carb heater might not be functional causing cold weather issues.

As promised, sort an odd transaction though. The salesman was quite sour that I price shopped and beat them down on the deal. So much so that he refused to fill the gas tank. LOL. Great solid unit though hope to get many years faithful service from it. I'll be adding a roof, windshield, dump actuator and vee plow by years end.

Cool, we ended up with a 800 crew ranger. I know I was sold on the 500 crew, but the 800 was really comfortable and rode so smooth.
They are putting the top, windshield and back glass on will pick it up next week.

You did exceptionally well to get a 13% discount. That put it close to my price for the 3010 4WD in 2004. I like the looks of that late-model 4010 front end. I also like that they have moved the gas fill up under the passenger seat. On mine, I have to raise the bed to easily put in fuel. Is a fuel gage on the dash standard yet? Fuel injection must make it a dream to drive. I love the roof, windshield, and Power-Hoist bedlift on mine. It's a true hydraulic actuator like the ones used for boat trim and made with thick aluminum. I thought mine was failing once, but found out it was dirty relay contacts. As far as I'm concerned, the windshield, roof, and bedlift are "must haves."

I'm currently roof shopping now, I really want a black linex coated diamond plate unit but don't want a roof that will interfere with a cab. I'm torn between the Curtis(oem) cab and Kolpin cab. I really like the windshield the kolpin comes with. I may go with the kawa lift kit since I doubt I'll ever exceed 800lbs. I use the tractor for the heavier items. The power steering and fuel injection are a dream. I'm real happy with my choice.

Did you end up adding a cab to your mule? How are you liking it now that you've used it a bit? Where did you purchase it from?

I've yet to add a cab but I just ordered a Boss utv. I may pick up the roof and windshield before the winter but it depends on funds.

The list for these units is $10k.
