Here we are all cleared to the lot and just about cleaned up and chipped. The boys have taken all the logs to the other side of the lot shipped out the pine to the local lumber mill and started to process the hard woods for sale .

That's one way to cut firewood!

It's amazing how clean some people stay when chipping

Did you have a lot of nice pines? I assume your not too close to the cape then, the closer to the Cape I get, the smaller and smaller the trees get.

Now as I told you it started raining in June and never stopped so we lost 3 days work for every one we got in. Here we are grubbed out up to the lot it's now July 20th and our plans are falling behind but all is still good.

We are 20 miles from the Cape Cod Canal and have lots of pine and oaks on the property. Now it's Aug. 1st and we are just able to start to bring in more stone for the footings. We had started back on the 20th but got so washed out we gave up for a few days to let it dry. That's one of by best customers on the excavator digging for my foundation for the cost of the diesel. Jane and I wanted a walk out finished cellar but the land was flat were we wanted the house. So we built on grade and filled in around the front and sides.

Frost wall dug stone down and ready for the form guys to show in a few days. Had to bring in some real bony fill as the rain just kept coming and we thought the cement trucks would have a hard go of it.

More footings and now the foundation. That's Jane spreading stone with me and cleaning up. She started to complain about some back pain at this point but we just thought it was the hard work .
