I had problems with one of my neighbors a few years ago. My neighbor thought part of my property was his. It can be very frustrating. After a while both sides had lawyers. I did spend $5k-$10K on legal fees. I haven’t totaled all the bills.
I like the game cameras or web cameras. I also like that you try to document what happens with photos or video and take it to the sheriff.
It was unfortunate that I had to spend the money to fight my neighbor. But in the end it was settled, we just ignore each other now, and I haven’t had more problems with that neighbor.
These don't always turn out for the worst case. I am hoping in the end this works out well for you.
In this case it isn't a question of where is the property line. It has been surveyed, the corners are marked and they are claiming to own the entire 19.5 acres that I just bought. Maybe this will bring them to their senses.
