Welcome toTractorByNet and greetings from Tennessee.

:welcome: to TBN from Ohio. Am building a barn tomorrow.

I wish I had built taller walls with a loft in mind. When friend had his barn built the Salesman talked him into getting "loft prep" It eliminated a truss and used heavier roof purlins.
I did end up building a loft, but have a truss to deal with.

You could use an attic truss for the end that will have the loft. You can get them from a truss company, or you can contact a truss company with your dimensions. They will give you a diagram with their quote, and you could build your own from their dimensions.

NO, no, no, no no.....Don't ever attempt to build any sort of truss on your own by pilfering a prefabricated truss design. Besides being unethical, you will not be able to purchase the grades of lumber required, and you will have no access to, or ability to properly press in the steel connector plates. And attempting to use osb or plywood "gussets" to replace the connector plates is not going to provide adequate connections.

There are numerous options available for getting a loft in a pole building. More often than not, building owners do not plan adequate height to properly be able to fully utilize the loft. My best recommendation is to discuss your needs with a qualified pole building kit package provider, who can do engineered designs, provide the plans, materials and installation instructions to properly construct. In the long run, it is well worth every penny.
