craftsman mower wont crank

My craftsman mowers battery was ran down from leaving the light on I got the battery charged and put back on n but still won't crank without being boosted off so I changed the solinoid and still nothing so I boosted it off to cut grass went about 5 minutes and just shut off what could be wrong

The battery needs to be load tested. Remove it and take it to any one of many businesses that do that for no charge in hopes they sell you a new battery. Most of the auto supply stores have equipment to test it and batteries on the shelf.

Older mowers without the electric fuel shut off at the carburetor will run without a battery but those with the valve won't.

I have taken it to auto zone they charged and tested it and said it was fine before we changed the silonoid its a 2010 model

If it has a Briggs engine, valves being out of adjustment can cause cranking problems due to their compression relief function. Being the battery is fine, the reason for dying after 5 minutes could be a host of things such as spark and at the correct time, air fuel ratio, and compression to name a few.
