Things that annoy me

My mother's advice was to ALWAYS lock the car door with the key, providing a level of certainty that the key was in your hand before locking the door.

My '04 VW Passat forces me to do this. Pressing the lock door with out the keys in the ignition accomplishes nothing. It needs to be done remotely after the door is closed.

Of course, being the fine German vehicle that it is, the power lock in the driver's door no longer functions (along with the interior lights with that door being open, and the rear right window not going down), so I need to use the key to lock that door anyway. :p

People like this guy annoy me. Your attitude stinks. Find a different entrance

I read through this thread, and finally found what annoys me - you! Thinking you have the right to puff ye stinking cemetery sticks where other people have to smell and choke on the mess. Then, throw ye litter on the ground.

Ok, sorry for the little rant - no harm meant to you personally. Hey, I love us all here on this forum! But, I still don't like to have to put up with second hand coffin nails.

I'm not one who easily gets ruffled, But I just got plain out mad today:mad:, This morning while taking the trash out to the street I noticed across the street where someone had Littered, so I thought I'd go get it and put it in our trash can, The closer I got I realized it looked to be a dirty diaper, so I turned around to go get a shovel, First I stopped into the house to pour another cup of coffee and then the wife tells me she wants to go check out a garage sale and ask would I go along with her,

As I pulled out the drive I pointed out how disgusting it was that someone through out a dirty diaper, she stated we'll have to get that up when we get back,
We were gone about 2 hours and when I came back I notice the church lawn had been cut and the diaper was gone, But not gone, It had been Blown to my side of the street at the edge of my mailbox,

Apparently they finished and all had left, I see different Folks from that Church volunteering their time to help around the grounds each week, so I cannot pin-point any one person,
I suppose who ever it was thought it was the "Christian thing to do"

As I stated, In the beginning it wasn't even on our side of the street but yet I WAS going to go get and remove it myself, but instead got side-tract, Now I know either one of us shouldn't have had to dealt with something like that, But Bad on him, and even double bad for the person who through it out there, even a cat has since enough to cover up it's own poop,

Sorry about the rant, I guess if ever were any one thing that upsets me the most , IS
( People who have little regards for the landscape of our Country and litters upon it as if it's One wide open Landfill ):smiley_aafz:
and Yes Cig butts are on the list, Nobody here at my home smokes, But yet anyone who comes to visit smokes outdoors and throws their butts on the ground, Namely my SIL,

If the receptacle is installed in the wall correctly (ground pin down), the wide blade goes to the left. See, now you have one fewer stressors in your life. One of mine is people who don't know the difference between fewer and less, and no one seems to any longer.
The NEC does not specify the orientation of the ground pin. Up. down. horizontal to the right or left-- all are correct.

Most all the electrical trim crews I know have been taught to turn the receptacle upside down so in order to identify the circuit being protected by a GFI Plug/receptacle within that circuit, in other words if that particular receptacle ( upside down ) stops working a electrician would know first to check for a GFI in that circuit and if it has been tripped, Circuit with no GFI's would have the Plugs installed correctly,

"Most all" Think about that. It is not at all a legal requirement And unless everyone knows about and uses that "convention", it is worthless.

People who join TBN, make one post asking about their problem, get good answers and are never heard from again. Lazy and rude.

This!

Or even worse, those who join a website just to post a classified ad, then never return

My mother's advice was to ALWAYS lock the car door with the key, providing a level of certainty that the key was in your hand before locking the door.

My old Tacoma will automatically unlock the door if the keys are in the ignition. My Subaru would too. My Ford doesnt have that feature, but it has the touch pad on the drivers door. The savings from calling a tow truck to unlock the door have more than paid for that particular option:thumbsup:
