<img src="http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=325703"/>Michelin 10 ply ltx tires on my 3/4 ton 4x4 GMC Z-71 and there is no better tire IMO ,I use my truck daily and for long heavy hauls/trailer this is the second set and i got 80,000 + miles from the first set ,But your gonna have to pay for them about $950.00 for the set I bought . Any tire in a 10 ply will provide good load and wear ,don't expect a $100.00 tire to work well .

Sure that's a 3/4 ton? sure looks like a 1/2 ton to me.

We have had the Duratracs on our work commuter trucks. They are pretty much the worst thing that you can buy if you want tires for any amount of winter driving. At times I think we would have been better off on the bare steel rim. We replaced them with the Silent Armor which are a world of difference. They made going to work in a blizzard painless.

I cant belive you feel this way. I have owned 15 4x4 trucks in my life and maybe 45 sets of tires for them. The Dura Tracs have been hands dow the best all around tire for me. Im on my 3rd set.

I despise Goodyears as a whole. Most of them either have excessive or develop excessive road force. They seem to slip belts more frequently than other brands also.

I have mounted and balanced untold amounts of tires and only run Michelins on my personal vehicles. They wear well, are quiet, have decent traction and tolerate a bad alignment that other tires won't.

I am also quite picky about alignments, but that is a whole other subject.

Best tire out there. I have them on my 2500 dodge as well

Funny. I have had more issues with Michelins and Continitals by far. I steer away from them.

I have literally mounted thousands of sets of tires. I worked at the Ford store during the Ford/Firestone recall and have spent the last 13 yrs seeing which tires hold up the best and I rank Michelin at the top bar none.

Others may have better traction or whatever, but none hold up as well as a whole. A Michelin tire will generally wear evenly where others would chop.
