I can't find a picture as hideous as the Green Polyester Leisure Suit a friend's wife bought for him about 1975 when he got promoted into middle management. She was proud of her husband and intended this young manager to assert an attitude of authority. He fit right in with the other bozos.

I (construction worker at the time) couldn't stop laughing every time I saw him in it.

The first picture is the closest I can find but the color isn't near as ugly as that suit was. Imagine shiny polyester in bold Android/Yanmar green. It was bright like a fishing lure.
The other pictures from Halloween rental sites are better representations of the clown impression that suit made.
I wish I could find a picture of the exact suit but even costume rental places don't have anything as ridiculous.

Why did Google chose that weird color for their Android trademark??

The guy with the checkered suit is hysterical. I remember buying a Chevy Van back in the 70's. The salesman had on a red colored leisure suit and had a major comb over on his head. He went to get his manager when we couldn't work out a deal.....the manager walked in with that same colored/checkered suit you posted. He also had on white patent leather shoes and a white belt about two inches thick. The only think missing was a disco ball. Bought my van at another dealership. Funny memories.....thanks for posting.:thumbsup:

I don't know what WebOS is. I just did a Google Images search on 'color android green' to get an example. That was the best color match to my tractor- and the ugliest example found.

I remember the Yanmar rep telling us that Yanmar chose that green color because they thought it symbolized the color of new growing things like new grass and green apples. He was surprised it wasn't popular. Yanmar was totally unprepared for the USA reaction to their lime green. It turns out that over here we like our work vehicles in primary colors, and that we prefer the hues of harvest over those of Springtime.
But once Yanmar figured it out they weren't slow to change over to a red with just a touch of gold in it. It's a nice color - and gave them a chance to do some model upgrades too.

Interesting facts there! Yeah I like the red a lot myself and the tan they go well together but the green its pretty ugly I think anyway. JD got their latest green right when they gave it a yellow tint some years ago fwtw. my .002
