I do like to eat fish; plan to broil salmon fillets tomorrow, but I've never taken any of those supplements, so maybe I'm glad I haven't.

I have been taking 1000mg. fish oil daily for 30 years. I'm 67 and my PSA is 0.25 that is very low. I wouldn't worry.

All us men folk will more than likely die with prostate cancer, but not from it. My doc wants to schedule a biopsy, trying to avoid it...

Yep, that is very low, but I'm 73 and mine is 1.2 which is still well below average and I've never taken such supplements. Which simply means that we don't really know whether it matters or not.:laughing:

I've been told if the fish oil pill breaks open while it is in your mouth, it is some nasty tasting stuff. That is the reason I don't take it.

Anybody done that?

The VA has me on 9000mg a day 'cause I cant take statins or gemfibrizol..

oh my.. i'm taking HUGE amounts of omega's after a heart issue a couple years ago.

yikes. hmm.. heart or prostate.

don;t want to be witout either....

I would not worry about it......There was another study that showed that regular sex (this is a true study) was one of the best ways to keep prostrate cancer at bay as you grow older........and great for your heart as well............:cool2:
