They are known for removing the eggs from other bird's nests and laying their own eggs ...they don't build their own nests and they don't sit on their own eggs...
Yep, it's a female juvenile brown headed cowbird. Looks harmless, but they are nasty creatures...

Are you talking about cow birds of ferral cats?Folks around here have been advised to shoot them. They are an invasive species on the east coast and are having a severe effect on the population of native songbirds.
