I recently picked up a Land Pride Grading Scraper. I got the GS2584. It is a perfect fit for my tractor. I've been maintaining my 1/2 mile easement with my rear blade (RBT3584) and a KK 7 foot landscape rake. This grading scraper was the icing on the cake. I'm very pleased with it.

Unloading from the trailer.

First pass. I went down the middle on the opposite side of normal each direction first in hopes of removing some of the crown which was too high.

Final result

The wife asked if this new implement could do anything for the trails in our woods. Eager to show her the value of my new toy, er, tool, I gave it a shot not knowing what to expect.

Untouched trail

Very nice! I've also got a Land Pride Grading Scraper, and also love it. Even I can get good results!

Yes, very nice! How many passes did you make on the trail?

Four passed on the trail. Two to remove all of the sticks and leaves and two to grade the dirt.

I bet you're going to find a thousand uses for your new landscape plane! It seems to be the perfect toy... err TOOL for your needs, and you're producing super results.

I'm wondering about the trail work that you did. How did you cope with the tree roots crossing the original trail, especially the larger ones? Did you chop them out with an axe, or? Or did the landscape plane cut them out as you went?

Very nice. I am going to have to keep my eye out for one of those....

Before I started on the trails I put all the scarifiers upside down on the grading scraper. I did not want to hook into and drag up a bunch of roots. It worked perfectly. The scraper just slid over the roots that it did not cut off.
