The nearest Praxair / ALC branche is 150km away:(, that's why i went to the auto parts store .

Well that changes things a bit, but Id still call the AL and Prax branches by phone, get a price, then figure in cost of delivery.150km isnt that far to drive to pick something up if the savings are there.

Did call Praxair in 3R, very nice peolple to deal with, very open and professional, suggested a miller 252 without spool gun option at 2400$ + tx. Suggested a Hypertherm powermax 55 ($1700 + tx )or 65 ($2950 + tx) wow those are pretty expensive toys compared to my 211 and spectrum 375:shocked:
Offered a free at home demo, cell # to arrange appointement if i drop by to show me his products. Guess i'll be thinking things over night....

You should be able to beat him down a bit on the 252 (havent priced a HT lately)... But if he's including an in home demo and delivery, i think thats fair. Maybe he can throw in a spool of wire or similar to sweeten the deal. The 252 will not have a spool in the box.

I agree. Moving up to Light Industrial gear has its costs (and benefits)

Why would you need a Powermax 65? $2400 isn't too for 252 bad if he sets it all up and brings it to you.

Powermax 45 should be more than enough, but guess i'll have to wait a little to get new gear, my Duramax just blew a head gasket on saturday pm, and that's gonna be costly:thumbdown:

Yeah,
I've had personal experience with older Izuzu engines...seems that is what they do, if you look at them wrong. How old is your truck? Miles?

2003 Chevy 2500HD with the LB7 engine, presently has 267xxxkm, new injectors were installed at 190xxxkm as well as an allison tranny. My 6.0 silverado maybe got single digit mpg, but at least it is reliable, 530xxxkm with the same engine.

Check with the dealership. Chevy had some sort of lawsuit settlement over that engine on headgaskets....
