After giving my 110 a look-over, I notice that the power steering lines have some worn spots from rubbing one another. (I can see the steel reinforcement inside). My question is are they ready to start leaking at anytime? Do you think I should replace them soon? I tried to reposition them so that they won't touch anything but no matter what I do they still rub on one another. Maybe they were replaced with the wrong lines (sometime ago). Is this a problem that other 110 owners are having?

I doubt they will leak anytime soon but because the steel braid is exposed it will tend to rust and weaken over time. That being said I have had line that looked like yours that lasted years. One way to stop the rubbing is to cut a piece of old inner tube and wrap the lines so they rub the inner tube rather than each other.

They will last a while longer, maybe replace them at the next major service while its down anyway.

Thanks for the tip. I will try to get an inner tube on the lines asap.

An inner tube does not sound durable at all. I think it would where out quicker than the hose did.

It is quit durable. I have had it last a long time. The idea is to keep the hoses from wearing anymore.

I like to split heater hose and use nylon ties to secure for chafe protection.

Thanks for the tip with the split heater hose.
I replaced the power steering lines. The old power steering lines were worse than I thought.

Two things seem to take out hoses... age/exposure and abrasion.

Covering one hose with another helps with both.

One of my first jobs was running pneumatic tubing and hydraulic lines for on the machines handling the solid rocket fuel used for the Space Shuttle.

The regular guy happened to be on vacation when the inspector came into the plant and told the boss he liked my work... from that day on one of my jobs was to plumb the rocket fuel mixer/dumpers.
