Hood badge Ford 861

Hello!

Below is a pic of the hood badge on the 861. Just curious of if the badge is proper for this model? In other words, should it read "801"? This is a 1958 model, serial 24xxx (cannot remember rest of digits). Perhaps they used this badge of "800s" until it was gone? Or did the badge say "800" until the Thousand series came out in 62?

Or do you think someone put the wrong badge on when it was last painted?

That badge is for an 800 series. The 801 series does NOT say 801. Here's a picture of the badge you need. This is my old one. Bit worn out. Has black around the outer edge.

dito what petra said. that's an older badge.

you can get repops of new badges.. or oem badges on ebay..e tc..
