Rear Blade For Loader Bucket

watch out when using the bucket teeth pointed down in reverse you could damage your loader if you hit a hidden obstruction like a root or rock.

Having the blade on the rear of the bucket is a much better alternative to tipping your bucket forward when you back drag... it will save the strain on your bucket cylinders. When the blade is engaged, your bucket rams and fully seated inside the barrel. Anther plus is that you've moved the blade several feet closer to the front of the tractor so you have increased down pressure and strength from your loader... This is a patented Westendorf add-on option for all our buckets. LINK

The rear bucket blade looks like a nice addition. However I have been using the front mounted teeth in a variety of applications for aout 10 years with great success. They are especially useful for picking up tree branches which are almost inpossible with a regular bucket. I suppose they could cause some damage if used improperly, but that goes for all attachments. The extra versitility is worth the care it takes to use them correctly.
