I used to have an 84 Izusu Diesel 4X4 Long bed pickup w/5 speed manual w/overdrive. Had the towing package, HD suspension, block heater and just about every option. Loved that truck. Had over 250K miles on it when some moron sped thru an intersection in the snow and T-boned me. Frame must have not been heavy duty because it bent up like a pretzel. Ran great and always got over 30 mpg though. Think it had a 2.5 liter engine but not sure.

Actually Will, I think you're using the wrong conversion number. A US gallon is 3.785 L . Still crazy expensive though.

No, I am using the CORRECT conversion, Canadian gallons - 4.554L.

I wish they'd go the other way though, and bring back an actual compact Tacoma with a diesel.

Oh, and Ford is stupid! All they'd need to bring over is the Global Ranger with a diesel. Getting rid of the Ranger in NA was one of their dumber moves. You tell me this truck with the 3.2 Diesel wouldnt sell? You got to be kidding!

Yes they are! Or even a Frontier / Navara diesel . Lets face it, at least in these parts, Nissan is dragging up the hind tit by a long shot. Unless they do something soon they are going to end up like Suzuki. Shaking things up with a Diesel patrol or Navara could save the company.
