Hold in guys we are getting carried away. All these ford enthusiast say there is no way possible for a diesel to pencil out since ford isn't doing it. And you know if ford says it you have to take that as gospel. Sorry this may be a mean spirited post just tired if the blind ford followers.

Absolutely! That thing would have been awesome if built like the concept.

I wish they'd go the other way though, and bring back an actual compact Tacoma with a diesel.

Oh, and Ford is stupid! All they'd need to bring over is the Global Ranger with a diesel. Getting rid of the Ranger in NA was one of their dumber moves. You tell me this truck with the 3.2 Diesel wouldnt sell? You got to be kidding!

Wouldnt be the first time we got a Diesel the americans didnt. First gen Smart came here as a diesel. When it went to the states thats when they stuck the gas in it, ruining the car and the mileage.

Took a high mileage city car (70mpg) and turned it into a tiny car that got worse mileage (36mpg) then a civic which is larger,and then they wondered why it wouldn't sell, lol

1.31/L $5.96/gallon for regular gas.
1.23/L $5.59/gallon for diesel.

I am not sure what gas is here today. I think it is around 3.40-3.50. Diesel is 40-50 cents more depending on the gas station.

I am not saying it because Ford is not going to offer a diesel. What kind of MPG's would expect out of a diesel 1/2 ton?

The Diesel gets up and moving a tad faster. It tops the hill at 50MPH. The gas tops at 48MPH.
