I am going to be putting up some metal T posts and I was wondering if there is sufficient down pressure/force with the loader on the L4400 to drive them into the ground?
+1 i know if the clay is wet my m8540 puts them in very easy, if its dry it will just make v shaped t-post
OP If there's not enough weight you can always fill the bucket with dirt. Or something heavy. If the ground is hard they can only be driven in with high force momentary blows
You have enough down to pick up the front of the tractor... so if the front is not heavy enough you can always put a half load of anything in the bucket to add some push..
My L4200 will push posts in easily..
You should have plenty of weight. If its really dry I throw four or five bundles of posts in the bucket. This is on an mx4700.
We've put in miles of fence this way. Goes very quick, with two people. Be careful!
