Well it's time to shop for a new saw, having sold my 1 year old saw, it's time to buy something else. If been shopping around and the 2 models i'm looking at are the 372xpg and the MS 461 arctic. I like to have lots of power, and do use the saw in winter and snow. I'll be using a 18-20 inch blade. Not interested in the Autotune models, had lots of problems in winter with my 570xp and 576xpg, but no experience with the m-tronic and don't want to try it out. So what do you think???
Thanks

Both are excellent saws and would serve you well. Similar power, similar price. IMO, your decision needs to come down to possibly 2 things

1. Dealer support. IF thats important to you if you dont do your own maintenance
2. ergonoics. Which saw fits YOU the best. Dont matter what anyone elses preferences are in the ergo department.

My final peice of advice is:

If you have a dealer, and like lots of power in a similar sized package and probably a few buck cheaper but every bit as good, check out a dolmar PS7900

The only saw dealers around here are Husqvarna and Stihl, both good dealers, have bought saws from both of them. Any other dealer is a 1.5 hr drive, which gets annoying after a while.

Seems the new strato new version 372's x-torq models are having crank bearing issues. I really really like the old school 372's but would pass on the new XT 372 to get the 461.
Husky has a new 572 out there being tested that supposedly like the 562 power in cut for their size but in the 70+cc package.

I really hate to hear that. I bought a 372 a few months back. Love the saw. Lots of power. I hope I don't have a crank bearing problem.
