New Holland Workmaster 55 4WD Kubota BX1860
I've just purchased a new workmaster 55 a few days ago and noticed that the engine is very smooth up until about 2400 rpm but gets rough and vibrates at higher speeds. This seems unusual to me since normal operating speed is in this range. I am curious if any other WM55 owners have experienced the same thing.

I bought my wm 55 about 3 weeks ago and have so far put 18 hours on it. I have not noticed what you are experiencing.

Thanks, I didn't think it was normal. My tractor is back at the dealer now, hopefully they will fix it or just give me a new tractor since I only have 5 hours on mine.

It will be interesting to hear how they intend to fix it. Please share if you get a chance. There does not seem to be many people on the board here with WM's. So glad I found another one. Have you by chance had your rear tire's ballasted? I was looking at doing this, but wanted to get an opinion from someone that actually had my same type of tractor.

Haven't filled the tires yet but also haven't had a change to use the loader and get it heavy on the front end. I suspect that it would be a good idea as light as this tractor is. Almost wishing I had bought the heavier mahindra but the NH dealer is much closer to me so I got the wm.

I have the case version the farmall 55a mine doesn't vibrate like that either

Same here on the closeness of the dealership. I was going to go with the mahindra as well, but the closest dealer is 60 miles away.

No vibration in mine. Rears are filled with washer fluid.

Without being there to know exactly how the tractor acts it almost sounds like a fuel line blockage causing it to starve for fuel and cut out at higher RPM's.

There are a few Case-IH Farmall 45A and 55A owners on TBN as well. The 45A and 55A are just a few hp different and just a hood, paint and seat different then the Workmaster 45 and 55. My 45A has been great, it is a very smooth running and quiet tractor. It is currently my favorite tractor I own and I look for any excuse to use it over the other tractors.
