It is the collapse of an underground cavern. Limestone caves collapse every day, and have for millions of years. Here in Missouri, sinkholes are numerous and form all the time. that one in Kansas is a big one, but below it was a big cavern at one time before the roof fell in.. What impresses me, it the depth of the dirt.. We just don't have dirt like that around Branson.!
