Had a cracked manifold (rearmost exhaust port). In the process of replacing that, I decided to try out a vertical exhaust. The manifold I bought was an aftermarket one that has a triangular exhaust outlet flange instead of the original flare-and-clamp connection. The 180-degree elbow is P/N 181866M2 and is a nice heavy cast piece. Muffler is a Stanley MF-10 with a Speeco 2" rain cap on top. Works well - I just need to extend the downstream pipe on the muffler - it currently exhausts right about face level while sitting on the tractor. :ill:

Took a few passes on the dirt part of the driveway with it today before giving it a bath and parking it till I extend the exhaust...

I was going to put a vertical exhaust on mine, but because the edge of my property has tree limbs that would probably snatch it off. Your tractor looks in good shape. They are tough workhorses. -kid

Thanks. Yup, tree limbs would be my only worry too, but where I'm working now is all clear. I'm going to extended it up about 18", so that should put it about a foot over my head.
