Question about getting my computer to recognize my Garmin Nuvi 265W GPS

Is it a real USB interface or an emulator that is assigned a comport value. Ex; com3. I have a USB dongle like this. A real pain in the azz.

Hey Moss, been busy. I am computer challenged, but I finally got the Nuvi located in the mass storage app. The program did download but I don't know if it downloaded to the GPS or just my computer. My son borrowed the GPS so I have not been able to check further. Thanks for asking!
