Bush Hog blades

Check Agrisupply.com - I have had great luck with their blades and they are priced 1/3 the cost of other blades ...at least for lawn mower blades...they probably have finish mower blades as well as Bush Hog blades....If you sharpen them just be sure the corners of the blades are squared off..that is where the cutting takes place...the welding on is also a good idea if you have the skill..

Sorry gentleman my computer crashed and just got it back from Tech. My Bush Hog is red with vinyl stickers on it. The blades say Bush Hog with a number 12541 on it they have no other number on it.22" long left handed thread and 3/4 center hole. Thanks PS These blades are not for brush. they are just standard grass blade. Tks

I can't save give you a lot of details, but that blade is available at Messicks.com for around $30.30 each. Add shipping and you are back to your original price or more. I didn't find your RFM's model on Bush Hog's site, but the info I find on your blade is that it is A 3/4" arbor and 21" long. The nut and threads are left hand. The blade shown is also a CCW cut. The model of your cutter seems to be from 2001. Bush Hog may have OEM'd that cutter from Woods and put their labels on that. It's common practice. Later, they could have developed their own series and dropped the Woods RFM from their line. That's all supposition, but you might find your part under Woods brand RFMs, but a model number off of it would be good. Was there no decals on the cutter except for "Bush Hog" decals?

Good luck. I may be just repeating info you've already found, but it sure looks like your blades are more expensive than most, probably because they are very rare.

12541 does not come up as a valid Bush Hog part number on the Bush Hog dealer access website. I can't order that part number, and a part number search does not bring up that number as a superceded number.

Found out from Bush Hog it is a model 2001 made 30 years ago Blades are obsolete so I cannot order them. Now . will try finding a reverse turning blade and redrill center hole. Thanks for all the comebacks

Any blade will cut better when sharp. That being said, I mowed with my rotary cutter 7 years and finally sharpened the 2 blades even though they weren't real dull. Man did it cut better! Less effort needed from the tractor! What was I thinking all those years?
