Actually it was Roy who made the snide remark that got the thread off topic. I was just reading for interest until he brought up the Massachusetts business.

This seemingly impenetrable web of sometimes sensible and sometimes idiotic laws is one reason we should all support national right-to-carry reciprocity; a concealed carry permit should be honored anywhere in the country. Time to write your congressperson.

The proud gun owner/hunters of our days are falling to the wayside of the all inclusive city dwelling culture of today I remember when you had to actually hunt for a buck every year now they are so over populated they run around subdivisions like squirrels and people call them pests because their eating their gardens .Many see no reason to own a gun or enjoy hunting for food and I think in time there will be a total gun ban I just hope it does not happen until I'm gone !

Actually progress has been in our favor in many ways. Gun sales are setting records as are CCW permits. Compare the number of states allowing CCW 20 years ago vs. now. It's a strong trend in our favor.

Very true. There was no such thing as a permit to carry a handgun in Texas until the mid to late 90s. And now they're common. And apparently the same is true of many other states.

living here in east Tn i would say many are getting their carry permits but I would bet 8 out of 10 trucks running these back roads have at least 1 under the seat
