I have 6-12s on the front and 9.5-24s on the back and they are the rice patty kind with very aggressive tread they are like new but I want some ag tires like the diamond tread or even a less aggerssive r1 type tire that i can run across grass and not have it look like an m1 tank drove thru, i also would like a lot wider set also any ideas on were to buy, Thanks guys

I use Nebraska Tire. There is also a place called Miller Tire. bjr

Your local tire store. Take the size off of the side and go talk to them. In you live in a rural area they may have them. If not, they can always order them in. At least my Tire Factory can.

I second that motion. Ask your dealer about Titan tires.

If you are 4 WD you need to maintain the same ratios with about a 5% front lead. Sizing changes does get tricky. If you don't respect lead you an damage the front differential gears.
In some cases rims need to be changed.

You probably already have AG tires R1s on there now, you are looking for TURF tires or R4's which are both wide turfs are diamond tread and R4's are AG type lugs but shallow and wide like Turf tires.

The OP stated that he currently had rice paddy tires, which are not R1 Ag tires - they're R2's, a much more aggressive paddle-type tread than even R1 Ag tires, designed for operating in deep mud. R4 industrial tires are a less-aggressive tread than R1 Ag tires, but still a heavy lug tread, though shallower and wider than R1 Ag tires, where R3s are the diamond-tread wide turf tires, as I understand it.

The significant point made thus far is the need to keep the rolling ratios the same as original from front to back so as not to tear out the front drive system. That may require purchasing new rims as well as new tires, depending on what is available. I'd recommend discussing this with Tommy at Affordable Tractor to get the right setup.

Here's a pretty good article on the various types: http://jdtechtalk.com/tractor-tire-selection-the-differences-between-r1-r3-r4/

You will need both rims and tires. Check the dealers and eBay.

The North Carolina Farm Bureau has a program that offers discounts from state locations in regards to tires, both AG and vehicles. Perhaps your State of Florida could offer some help? Membership in our State is $25.00 yearly. justa thought.
