Not to threadjack, or turn this into a gun forum, but I wanted to ask a question:

We had been thinking about adding another .22LR long gun, but were also considering an upgrade that would be good for reaching further out with more power for varmints, etc., do you recommend the .22-250 caliber as a good next step?

Have you been having the same problem with finding ammo that we have been going through with the. 22 rounds?

What model do you have, and what, if any other would you get instead, if you could?

LOL ya, there are some downsides, tried to teach one of my girls to shoot... I eat enough bacon that I might just taste a bit like it lol...

Their mom ya not sure I want her aim to be better I think I could catch her a few days a month rehearsing.. "Honest I thought he was going to be out of town for next 3 days and that someone had broke in, I was afraid for my life!" lol

I can't find the exact joke anymore but it was along the lines of a guy on the shrink's couch...explains that he doesn't think his wife loves him anymore. After much probing, turns out that she cooks great, keeps a neat house, does a great job with the kids and is good in the bedroom. After hearing all that, the shrink asks why he has his doubts. The guy replies that it might be in his head but recalls his wife leaning over him at night when she thought he was sleeping saying "DIE you sob, DIE!!!"

Good shooting. Two wild hogs about that size did a heck of a job on our hayfield in just a couple of days. My BIL got one of them and the other departed. We sure don't intend to feed them, but they do eat corn at the deer feeders.

Not Eddie, but I will respond. I have found a 22Mag is a good little rifle. It's not as cheap to shoot as a 22LR, but much cheaper to buy than the 22 250. And it has plenty of knock down power. I have about 20 center fire rifles, but I keep the 22Mag on the truck seat when I'm on the farm.
