Dang! Sorry Oscar. I didn't get you anything for your birthday. I looked all over the Hallmark store and didn't find a single card that said, "Happy Birthday you Pig!"

:birthday: Happy Birthday Oscar. :birthday:

So far you have managed to stay out of the frying pan. Let's hope it stays that way. :):)

Now go roll in the mud and celebrate.:laughing:

Cheers :drink:

Here are a couple more pictures of Oscar from this evening when we all went for a walk. Sometimes he likes to follow us around, but rarely does he do this in the summer. I guess he had so much fun for his birthday, he decided to hang out with us a little bit longer!!!

At three years of age, Oscar weighs 475 pounds.

What's impressive, is how quickly he can take off and go through the brush. His speed and power is just amazing!!!!

That last picture looks like he's smiling really big for his birthday photo shoot. He must know he has many adoring fans across the net.

Looks like Oscar has decided to stay inside the pasture. We've run a hot wire all around the inside of the fence and then added some temporary posts to cross the areas that the fence hasn't made it to yet. I think the problem I had at first was putting the temporary fence in an area that he would come up on without warning. Once he hit it, he just ran right through it in a panic. He did this a couple times.

I got the idea that if he saw the fence out in the open, he would be less likely to endure the pain of the electric shock. It's been almost a week now and he is still in there!!!!

He is also making friends with the goose. We don't know where it came from, but it's been there for a month now. Yesterday, it decided it would rather eat corn with Oscar, then eat floating catfish food with the duck.
