I bought a FarmPro 2425 w/ FEL, backhoe, brushcutter and scraper blade last year from KImco International (online there were no dealers close by in Wisconsin). I paid $13,000.00 and delivery was free. The tractor and backhoe were assembled. The info I got was the 2425 is a 25hp not 24.

I think the 2425 is a discontinued model. I see that FarmPro has a 2025 which may be the newer model.

I like the tractor, a few minor problems, but if you can wrench a bit, it should not be a problem. I have found John's Tractor to be a helpful site (www.johnstractor.homestead.com). As far as I can tell the Jinma and the FarmPros are nearly identical

Hope this helps!

Guys, I just signed up and this is my first time on so please be kind . I don't know a bunch about tractors or what size I need for what work but please let me get the comments and advice from some of you Guys that have the knowledge. I have a cabin up in the ozark mountains and need to keep about 2 of the 3 acreas bush hogged and have a great supply of rocks I need to move off the lot so I purchased a farmpro 2425 4x4 with a bucket. I'm sure this tractor is not the quality of the major brands but are they fair quality and something I can expect to be pleased with for the small amount of work I will be doing with it ?

The tractors are work horses, perfect for your size application. Not sure how it was serviced before you got it, but I would change all the fluids and filters, check all the nuts and bolts on the tractor to make sure they are tight, give it a good once over. Not sure of how many hours it has,did you get the parts manuals with it ? If not we have them and any part you may need in stock.

And a VERY important tip for novice tractor owners, get the clutch adjusted correctly the first time -even before you try to pick up your first bucket of rocks. And then DO NOT - EVER - ride the clutch pedal. Some newcomers who were not aware of this advice, burned out their drive clutch before the end of Day 1. We don't want another disillusioned member here on Day 2

The tractor tach and hour meter wire was hanging down near the motor therefore the meter is not working and I could not find where it needs to be reconnected. The machine is very clean and all the fluids have been changed. One thing that puzzles me a little though is that I have ran it for 4 hours or so and the engine oil is so clean you can barely see it on the dipstick. All diesels I have ever seen would have dark oil as soon as you start them up and run them for only a minute or two. This could be a good thing I guess and shows the motor is clean on the inside. I called the seller back and asked him what kind of oil he used and he said rotella 15w 40w which is what I always used in my other diesels. The tractor does start to get too hot when I run it about 40 minutes or so. I don't think it is anything too serious though. Hopefully the thermostat or maybe the radiator needs rodding out. When I take the radiator cap off with the engine running I don't see any sign of compression coming back into the cooling system. Do you have any suggestions ?Also can you tell me where the tach wire needs to be reconnected ?

Wash the radiator out with a water hose and use a air blower to blow out all the fins, you need to be able to see thru the radiator,We use Shell Rotella in everything other than the Hydraulics which we use AW032 wt. hydraulic oil. The Tach sender comes out of the side of the flywheel housing it's brass and has a set of double nuts on it.Sitting in the seat left side by the oil sending unit

Thanks very much for the info. Now that you pointed it out I know exactly where the tach connector is. I think I may have broken the wire when I put the ratchet strap on for transit.

Thanks for helping me out with this. I had the opportunity to work the tractor all day saturday, but before I started I removed the thermostat and was very pleased to find that the engine never overheated while working it all day. I'm thinking this little tractor is going to be fine for my needs. One thing I did notice is a small hydralic leak at the bucket control. It has the one stick type. Does anyone know what it takes to replace o'rings or seals in this control and where to buy them ?

Do you know what kind of loader you have?
