Just be sure they aren't telling you that because they would rather not have a hard time moving it. I may could have gotten an extra $1K out of mine, but needed to move on the other and didn't want to have the two at one time. Looks like you are getting some good prices.

I think I am getting a good deal finally, too. For a while there, it seemed like no dealer would really budge much (as you can see from the #s)

Yeah I'm not sure on the trade. I was originally thinking I would order the 5075E and take those 2-3 weeks to see if my 5103 moved privately. But now it seems like I can get the 5075E sooner, so I'm not sure what I will do. We'll see what shakes out after I talked to "Dealer #3" in the morning.

(Btw, thank you for the insight. I really do appreciate it.)

It is the end of the month... they might need to hit a number.

Here's where things are at right now. I'm still waiting on some updated quotes from a few of these guys, as I have been shopping them a bit. I've been getting them to deal with me a little bit on a few things, so hopefully we can come to a solid deal soon!

I'm surprised that there is that much difference between different John Deere dealers. When I bought my 5095M, the minute I went and talked to a second JD dealer, he saw my name in the system and realized that I had already gotten a quote from another dealer, and the second quote came out within $1000 of the first. I didn't bother to talk to a third JD dealer.

Have you tried the JD dealer in crockett? I have heard good things about them,a friend buys several from them. Its kevin or Kenneth can't remember salesman name.

Well, I pulled the trigger and ordered my brand new 5075E today!

Short of the long... Ag Power in McKinney was the cheapest and was the highest on the trade. The guy I was working with up there (thanks ddivinia!) used to work at Ag Power in Tyler for a long time. He called down to the guy in Tyler I was dealing with and told him that he was going to let him have the sale, but he needed to honor the deal I worked with him. Pretty cool to see guys working together and getting along for the best interest of the customer.

So here's what I ended up with:

2013 5075E MFWD
553 FEL
12F/12R PowrReverser
540/540E PTO
Digital Dash with: MFWD indicator light, digital hour meter, digital PTO speed indicator, digital ground speed indicator
16.9x28 R1 - FILLED
2 Rear SCVs
Canopy
4 year power train warranty
4 year on-site, full maintenance plan

And they offered me $12,360 for my 2007 5103.

Since the 5075E has to be ordered, I have about 3-4 weeks to wait, but to try and sell my 5103 privately to make a little more on it.

I have it listed on a few Craigslists and on TractorHouse. We'll see what happens!

Exciting day!

My guy this morning said they cannot see each other's quotes in their system. Not sure what the full story is there, but the guy from McKinney sure got a much better deal on my 5103 for trade. He worked it for me.

I did reach out to those guys. They said that with the way Deere does things, it's hard for them to beat a local dealer on a new build.

Congratulations. Sounds like a nice build out of options that will serve you well for a long time.

Kevin was the guy spoke to in Tyler,he seemed like a good guy. I was looking at the 6D series, just getting some ideas, ended up just buying a few things for the son, they gave him a JD cap,he was so happy they left a good impression with me.
Congrats on the new tractor...

Thanks!

Yeah, Kevin was who I have been working with. He is a good guy. His price was the most competitive from the onset and he didn't play games with me. Just quoted me his bottom price and stuck with it.

The guy from McKinney was able to get a buyer to give more for the trade than Kevin was, so it was a good Ag Power team effort, ha!
