Mechanical thumb for BH65 backhoe 16"

My B2620 was delivered last week, and I am ready to use the thumb. Before I remove the cotter pin, anything I need to know? The Backhoe manual doesn't really address the thumb (BH1976) and I didn't get a separate operator's manual.

Its pretty much self explanatory using it. Use the various holes to position the thumb to where you want it to be. Only annoying thing is you may have to jump on and off the BH to adjust the thumb position depending on what you are doing.

OK, that worked well. So easy an engineer can do it. Now, how to I get the pin out of the hole, to return the thumb to the original position. It feels like its welded! (and thank you)
