Kubota B3350.......any idea when they are going to be available?

Nope, I haven't got the tractor yet (and it's been on order since end of April.)
(What's worse is my friend has already offered the use of his L5740 and hydraulic chipper so I can clear the land! Plus, he keeps trying to convince to me to buy his tractor so he can buy an L6060! :) )

Eric, personally I would give up on the 3350 and go with your neighbor's L5740 assuming it's in good shape and reasonably priced. If he decides to sell and you don't buy it you might be kicking yourself later. Plus the fact you get to use it NOW and see if it works for you.

While my friend's L5740 Kubota is something to consider (given it's in great condition (almost new) and I'm sure he'd take care of me on the price), I'm thinking I might want to go with an L60 now after taking one for a test drive at the dealer today.

I'm thinking if I go with an L3560 I don't believe the price difference will be as bad as I originally thought when compared to the B3350 (plus the dealer wants to work with me on this given they feel pretty bad about the B3350 situation.) While I don't have the final numbers yet (as my regular sales person is out of vacation right now), I think it's doable at first glance even with factoring in the cost of the new storage shed for the tractor (looking at a simple ShelterLogic setup similar to what 4shorts has for his L5740.)

It's just the land clearing piece that I don't have a good handle on yet since it's going to require some new material to fill/level the land, some trees professional taken down, and some excavator work to remove all the stumps (although, I'm trying to work in a discount for a mini-excavator rental from the local dealer with the purchase of the tractor.)

Eric, I just looked at the new L3560 tractor and that looks to be one sweet tractor. I wish you luck in your decision. Please keep us informed.

Not a rumor - Kubota is having difficulty with the new emissions system on this model. While I don't know the exact issue (because they won't publicly disclose much information about it), I was told it's a problem with the design of the diesel particulate filter system on the tier IV compliant engine.

It was originally scheduled to be released along side the B2650, but this obviously never happened (I've had one on order for close to 4 months now.) I suspect it could be some time before it's finally available.

The B3350 has. DPF while the B2650 does not. It must be a hp thing that drives the Tier 4 at least for now. The B2650 looks great in person. But I missed the quarter-inching valve for the B2650 on the Canadian website. Can anyone confirm that the US versions of the B2650/B3350 tractors will utilize quarter-inching valves? I liked the fit, finish and control layout on the B2650 but I'm not too sure if it's not position control. Maybe this is a reason to get a B3000 before they are gone....

I could be wrong, but I thought they were all position control? Anyway, at least for the US B2650's, they are definitely position control (I've seen one in person and can confirm that.)

Take a look at the pictures I posted a while back.

For what it's worth, I checked the Canadian website, and I believe there's a mistake in the specs section. It says quarter-inch valve, but on the features page it clearly shows position control. At least for North America, I believe they're all position control.

Well, that didn't go as planned! And yes, I blame TBN for being a very, very bad influence! ;)

I ended up canceling my B3350 order today, and I've decided to go with the L4760 TLB instead. The bad news is that the two units at the dealer now have already been sold. However, two more L4760's are on their way to the dealer as we speak and are expected to arrive by the end of next week. I've been earmarked to get one of them.

The way it stands now I should have the tractor by the middle of September so long as nothing I spec'd is on backorder (the dealer didn't think so, but they're going to check today to be sure.) Ironically I can't wait, although I've been waiting over 4 months for the B3350 (I guess a few more weeks won't be too hard! :) )

I'm jealous. Getting it with the cab or without?

That's a heck of a big leap over your previous tractor!

Thanks Jim. It's the cab model - I'm just not "built" for snowblowing in the winter without a cab! ;)

It's going to take a little getting use to the larger size over my previous B, but I'm definitely looking forward to it. Also, given how open the new cab design is on the L60, I don't think it's going to take long - even when I drove the L4760 they had on the lot I felt really comfortable in the seat.

Now it's time to start clearing the land behind my house to make room for the ShelterLogic storage unit. Should be a fun project and looking forward to spending time in the new L4760.
