Yeah my L3830 is MUCH quieter than the BX. Actually the BX is one of the loudest tractors I have operated. Not sure where all that racket is coming from!

4Shorts... Got a great mod idea for u.... Silencer kit for the BX!

Your right about the BX being loud. I think they are the loudest as well. If it were the only machine I had doing something about the engine noise would be a priority but using it in short spurts isn't so bad but using it all day and combined with the HST whine can get very annoying.
I fine the noise lever on the ZTR bad as well.
When I get in the Grand L its a whole different world.
My advise to anyone using a BX is to wear hearing protection. As for the BX. Got three new mods in various stages of fabrication but my day job keeps getting in the way plus I just picked up a new back up generator for the house and I'm building a custom storm box/ strong box to house it in and I'd like to get that completed before I get back at the BX mods. Im also working on some new cool lighting mods for the Grand L. Seems there's always something to do :confused3:

I'm not sure where you get all of that time to do all of those projects. Perhaps there are longer days in Newfoundland? :D

After a days work in the shop I usually do my own thing in the evenings and I get a lot done on the weekends. The wife says I can't get it all done all at once but I keep telling her I'll never know if I quit so I keep at it. I figure if I keep at it I'll catch up in a year or so

Paul I have a question for u. Let's say you had to mow 7 acres of lawn weekly and didn't own a ZG or BX25. If you could only pick one... Which would you buy?

This is assuming you already had your Grand L.

Thanks!

Cool question. Well I guess I'd have to ask what those 7 acres were like. If it was all unopstructed grounds I'd go with the BX because you can do so much more with the BX other than simply mow grass but if those 7 acres were filled with obstructions such as flower gardens, rock gardens and trees the ZG hands down would be my choice. The ZG is very fast and agile and goes around our property with no damage.
Hope this helps.

Well Wifey did it again. Made me a custom emblem for the ZG. :cool2:

Mrs. 4shorts does goods work too! Her stuff looks better than factory!

The decals really are a nice touch for the machine in that it's not readily possible to tell if it's factory or if it's 4shorts.
